Let us all pause for a while and pray for the ETERNAL REPOSE of the soul of MR. JOEY VELASCO.
He is indeed not just a painter.. He is more than a ‘pastor’.. He is the closest person to heaven, sent to make us remember that life is not just about us.. That life, on the very first place, is about GOD. ♥
This is indeed a very sad news.
Mr. Joey Velasco, the painter of the famous “Hapag ng Pag-asa”, already passed away.
As it was reported, he suffered heart attack and seizures earlier last week. I am very sure that in one way or another, he has touched the hearts and lives of many Filipino people through his works of art. As a little tribute, here are some of his works which also speaks of God’s compassion and love for us.

Mr. Joey Velasco is a product of Don Bosco Technical Center, Mandaluyong and and ex-seminarian of the Salesians of Don Bosco (from whom I got this news).
Let us all pray for the eternal repose of his soul. I am sure that he has finally received his reward for his sufferings here on earth, his unwavering faith in God’s love, and passion for service for the Filipino people.
